PARADISE

It's no secret by now, I do live in paradise. A place where the beaches are hot and the people are warm. A place I am so honoured, grateful and thankful to call HOME. I live in the British Virgin Islands.

A few weeks ago, I went on a sailing trip with my friends and I have fell in love with this island paradise all over again. Today I'll be sharing a few scenic, unfiltered photos that I took on the trip.

The first island we sailed to was Cooper Island. Just 5 miles from Tortola, Cooper Island is known for its relax vibe and feel. This island offers 4 privately owned properties and a beach club on Manchineel Bay. It is also rich in flora and fauna.

Next, we were off to Norman Island. Known to be the inspiration for R.L. Stevenson's book, "Treasure Island", Norman Island is the perfect place for snorkelling, especially in the water-level caves.  We spent the night moored in The Bight and located right next to our boat was the famous " Willy T", a boat where the party never ends.  We got to Norman Island when the sun was setting so unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures of the island in the day but I sure did get a great photo in the night.

After spending the night at Norman Island, our final stop was Jost Van Dyke.  Named after a dutch settler and former pirate, Jost Van Dyke is known for its colourful folklore and stunning scenery. We anchored our boat in the bay a little after 9 in the morning. And surprisingly, the beach was already filled with numerous people. Jost Van Dyke is home to the world famous Foxy's Old Year's Party and the famous Caribbean cocktail, "The PainKiller"; which was invented at the Soggy Dollar Bar.

FIRST TIME PADDLE BOARDING!

I've heard many people share their stories about paddle boarding; about how fun it is. I have seen countless photos as well and it looked like soo much fun I decided that I had to try it out!

I did my research and found out there are paddle board rentals right here on the island at Cane Garden Bay.  Since this was my first time, I ask one of my friends to tag along with me and it was her first time as well. lol The instructor gave us a thorough explanation of what paddle boarding is and how to perfectly do it without hurting ourselves.

Then it was time to hit the water.
Here are a few photos of the instructor giving us a few pointers on how to position ourselves on the board:

And off we gooooo

I won't lie I was pretty terrified at first, especially since it was my first time doing it. It was a struggle to find balance on the board but I think I definitely got the hang of it at some point.
My friend and I definitely shared a few laughs from falling and a few panic attacks from being scared to go too far out in the water but ultimately I had a blast!

It was such a great experience and I would surely try this again soon. If you are ever looking for a new and adventures activity to do in the water whether you are a local or not, this is a must do!

ISLAND BLING | NAVANCHOR PRESENTS VEUVE CLICQUOT RICH PARTY!

On Friday,  I attended the Veuve Clicquot Rich Party presented by Navanchor thanks to Trefle!
Word on the street is Navanchor is one of the hottest event planning, destination management, VIP concierge service companies here in the British Virgin Islands. They host amazing events!

The first thing I noticed at this event was the set up. I was really impressed. It was highly executed down to every detail from how the chairs were placed to the number of pineapples in a tray. Job well done. The atmosphere was great. It created such a welcoming feeling. Everyone was friendly and sociable, having the time of their lives.

The main reason I was at this party was because I got asked to be a model for Trefle at this event. It was my first time "modeling" and to be really honest with you guys I was extremely nervous.
I had my best friend with me and the rest girls I knew which made it a lot easier for me because I wasn't around complete strangers. I felt comfortable.

After modeling, we danced the night away with beautiful amazing people. I definitely had a blast!

DAY TRIP TO PETER ISLAND

The perfect way to spend Good Friday this year was at Peter Island with my best friend Jess. We were gifted with gift certificates to the Peter Island Resort & Spa from my mom. She won these 2 certificates and decided that she would like us to have them. How sweet of her ❤️

Here are a few photos from this wonderful day trip:

Peter Island's famous brick oven pizza! I got the Margherita and Jess got the BBQ  Chicken.

I think we both had an amazing time at Peter Island. It was relaxing and peaceful. From the start of our trip to the end, the service was impeccable. On arrival, we were greeted with warm cloths and drinks. We headed to the admin building, where a bus was called to carry us to the spa. The ladies at the spa treated us so well and made sure that our stay was great. We were able to use all amenities at the spa- from the showers, to the sauna, to the pool and jacuzzi. We loved it!

We ate at Deadman's Beach Bar and Grill and even though it was a bit crowded, we were still served respectfully and in a timely manner.

I do recommend coming here one day, whether it is during the summer, on a holiday or even on the weekend. I definitely will be back soon! :)

SPRING FEST 2016 | DAY ONE

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog :) I know I have been gone for sometime and I apologize but I have been busy with school and haven't had the time to blog.

Today, I am going to share with you guys a few photos from Spring Fest 2016. This is the second annual event and I must say it was even better than the first. Spring Fest was started in 2015 and I am assuming it was an event created to accommodate everyone during the spring and to also replace what was known as Music Fest right here in Cane Garden Bay.

This year, on the first day, Showtime Band and Dante began the festivities. Followed by the event's headliner Trina, then Rock City. Shaw Hp performed next and Kylo and The Stylee Band ended the night/morning! I must say I definitely enjoyed my night. It was lit! Once you have the intentions to have fun and great people to hang out with your night will never be dull 😁💃🏽

Here are a few photos from the night:
